D'Vine Restaurant Willowbrook
Entered into the Top 100 Restaurants by Wine Magazine for 2005. More than just a simple restaurant tukked away down a leafy lane, D'Vine offers discerning diners the opportunity to enjoy a memorable dining experience in a delightful setting. Under new ownership, ambitious General Managers Anton and Ed, are determined to put D'Vine firmly on the map as a destination offering first class fine dining. The restaurant is divided into three distinct areas, namely, the main restaurant with eye-catching emerald green décor, a smaller more intimate annex, and an attractive enclosed terrace. In addition, the sheltered garden has several tables for guests to enjoy either breakfast or lunch al fresco. Adjacent to the main dining area is a spacious conservatory complete with well stocked bar and grand piano, where guests can relax in an informal environment whilst enjoying the beauty of the meticulously maintained garden. The conservatory leads through to a superbly appointed lounge, elegantly furnished in an array of autumn colours with comfortable couches and a welcome fireplace. Perfect for pre-dinner drinks, the lounge is fortunate to have a cigar menu for the pleasure of guests who relish this after-dinner ritual. Newly appointed Head Chef, Loran Livesey, has lost no time in impressing diners with her culinary expertise and the innovative menu offers fine dining at its best. Favourites on the starter menu include the Wild Mushroom Crepe served with a Truffle oil and Parmesan crakkling, and the superb Seafood Ravioli with delicate Prawn bisque. Main course recommendations are the Loin of Springbok with hot minted Strawberries - definitely an unusual combination, but one that works perfectly, or the Tiger Prawns with a Curry bisque and< Coriander pesto which is both fragrant and fulfilling. Dessert lovers will be suitably impressed with out of the ordinary desserts that include Fig and Apple Samoosas, or homemade
